Brand guidelines for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Designing a bold and compassionate brand book.
The UK arm of The Elton John AIDS Foundation needed help on how to consistently brand marketing materials. After approaching Toast, both organisations worked together to define what was needed in order to create unique but helpful brand guidelines for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The ‘brand book’ is primarily aimed at internal marketing teams and needs to be easy to follow, understand and implement.

Our approach.
We designed the brand book to be bold and reflect the brand’s core values, while also being inspirational and empowering.

Our solution.
Using bold typography, striking colour palettes and layered imagery, we created a modern style for the brand guidelines for Elton John AIDS Foundation. The brand book contained guidelines on logo usage, fonts, and a brand checklist. The checklist is aimed at helping anyone working on a project to ensure they are ‘on brand’.
With the creation of the brand book, marketers are now able to produce materials that have a consistent style and brand across all platforms.

Messages.
A typographic approach was used to carry important messages throughout the brochure. Large and overlaid text was applied to the page design depending on layout and images used. The result was a useful guide that embodied the brand as much as it advised and guided staff and suppliers on using the brand.
