Toast created a range of document and report designs for Gatwick Airport runway expansion consultation. The design of the materials needed to adhere to the airport’s strict brand guidelines. The materials were also time-critical and needed to be produced and delivered to exact deadlines, ensuring materials were received at specific key times.

Gatwick pull-up banners

Large format and display graphics.

A range of display materials were created to highlight the key messages and benefits of Gatwick Airport’s second runway bid. 

Posters and pull-up displays.

The range of display materials included a suite of pull-up stands, placed in key locations and reused at local consultation events. In several cases – where maps and complex graphs needed to be displayed at a large size – double width pull-up stands were used.

A2 and A3 posters were also created highlighting key points where space was limited.

Infographics and illustrations.

To help highlight key points and make them more impactful Toast created infographics. These served as an instant visual reference for the two runway expansion options, which could have been lost in a sea of text and figures. 

Illustrations helped add a friendly feel.

After initial infographics were created and used on a range of materials, more local regional infographics were created. These were more illustration based to help break up the overall corporate feel and appeal more to the public during the local consultation events. These were still created within the overall corporate guideline colours but added an alternative feel.
